Terms of Service

Last updated: 17 July 2026

These terms explain the rules for using MindFactory. By creating an account, placing an order, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to them. Please read them carefully.

A note on this document: We've written these terms in plain language so they're actually readable, and we're an early-stage company — we may refine them as the service grows. If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date above. Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer-protection law, and if anything is unclear, email us at hello@mindfactory.store.

01 Who we are

MindFactory ("we", "us", "our") operates an AI-driven manufacturing platform that lets you describe a product, generate a 3D model of it, and order it manufactured and delivered. You can reach us at hello@mindfactory.store.

02 Your account

To use most features you need an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login details secure, and take responsibility for activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your country, to use the platform.

03 What we do and don't promise

MindFactory uses automated tools to generate 3D models and prepare them for manufacture. Because every design is unique and produced on demand:

Generated designs are not legal, patent, safety, or engineering certification. Unless we explicitly say otherwise after a separate review, a generated file should not be treated as patent-clear, safety-certified, guaranteed manufacturable, or fit for regulated use.

We'll always tell you the confirmed price and details before you pay.

04 Orders and manufacturing

When you place an order, you're making an offer to buy the item at the price shown. An order is confirmed once payment is successfully processed. We may decline or cancel an order if a design can't be manufactured safely, breaches these terms, or appears fraudulent. If we cancel a paid order, you'll receive a full refund.

05 Payments

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We don't store your full card details. By paying, you also agree to Stripe's terms. All prices are shown in the currency stated at checkout and, where applicable, include or note any taxes. The exact amount you'll be charged is always confirmed at checkout before you pay — never by an on-screen estimate alone.

06 Your designs and content

You keep ownership of the descriptions, prompts, and any files you upload. You grant us the limited rights we need to generate, manufacture, store, and deliver your order. You confirm that your designs don't infringe anyone else's intellectual property and aren't unlawful, dangerous, or designed to cause harm. You agree to cover any third-party claims, losses, or costs that arise from your designs or content infringing someone else's rights or breaching these terms.

A practical tip: when describing your idea, share what's needed to make the part — use, size, fit, material, and constraints are usually enough. If your design involves confidential or patent-sensitive details, think carefully before including them in prompts or uploads, and never post private file links, passwords, payment details, or confidential design specifics in public comments.

07 Acceptable use

You agree not to use MindFactory to create or order:

08 Returns and refunds

Because items are custom-made to your specification, they generally can't be returned for a change of mind. If an item arrives faulty, damaged, or materially different from the confirmed order, contact us at hello@mindfactory.store and we'll put it right — repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate. This does not affect your statutory consumer rights.

Digital files (such as STL or STEP downloads) are supplied immediately after payment. By buying a digital file and starting the download, you ask us to supply it straight away and you acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right to cancel once the download has begun. If a file is corrupt, won't open, or is materially different from what you ordered, contact us at hello@mindfactory.store and we'll provide a working replacement or a refund. This does not affect your statutory consumer rights.

09 Liability

To the extent permitted by law, MindFactory isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

10 Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know. Continuing to use MindFactory after changes means you accept the updated terms.
